Instructions:

Step 1

Gather your supplies

Lay out all your materials on a soft surface to prevent beads from rolling away. Ensure you have all tools within reach.

Step 2

Planning your design

Empty your beads and pearls into magic sorting trays or a small dish. From here, start laying your beads out in an order of your choosing. Feel free to refer to the image of the necklace made by our creative team.

Step 3

Prepping your bead thread

Taking your clear Illusion Cord, measure out the length you need. Be sure that it fits around your neck with a couple of extra inches on either end. Once measured and cut, ensure you have laid out enough beads to fill the line, by measuring the cord against them.

From here, find one end of the cord and thread a crimping bead onto it. Pull it down around two inches from the end, then once again, find the end of the cord and thread it back through the crimping bead. This should create a small loop

Holding the crimping bead and loop in place, find your crimping pliers. Place the crimping bead into the second divot in the pliers and squeeze them around it. This will create a dent in the crimping bead. Now move the bead to the first divot and squeeze once again. This should flatten the dent so that it folds the bead in half, securing your loop.

Step 4

Threading your beads

Now it’s time to thread all of your beads onto the cord.

In order to place your pendant onto the cord, you will first need to secure it in the Open Leaf Bail. Gently open the Leaf Bail and place your pendant onto the prongs of the Bail. Now use your Chain Nose Pliers to close the Leaf Bail.

Now take a single Jump Ring and gently twist it open with your round nose pliers. Place your pendant onto the Jump Ring and close it. Once you have done this you can now thread it onto your cord and continue adding your beads.

Step 5

Final touches

Once all of your beads have been threaded onto your cord, you must repeat Step 3 by securing a crimping bead and creating another loop.

Once this has been done, gently open a Jump Ring and create a chain of four. Open one end of the chain of rings, and attach it to one of the loops you created. Secure the ring shut.

Finally, we are going to once again, open a Jump Ring. Attach your trigger clasp as well as the other loop you created. Now secure the Ring shut.

You have now created your very own personalised necklace. Try this design with different colours and pearls to suit your unique style.

Congratulations you have completed the project!

You’ve just crafted a charming Leaf Necklace! Wear it with pride or gift it to someone special. Try experimenting with different bead styles and colours for a personalized touch. Happy crafting!
