Gold Plated Bolt Ring Clasp

A Bolt Ring Clasp is used in jewellery to attach two items together. This might be a clasp on a necklace or bracelet to join two ends of a chain together, or alternatively it might be a locking mechanism on a brooch.

This gold plated Bolt Ring Clasp consists of a circular ring with a spring-loaded lever that opens and closes the ring. The Bolt Ring Clasp is attached to one end of a jewellery piece, while a small loop is attached to the other end. To fasten the jewellery, the ring is inserted into the loop and the lever is pushed to close the ring, securing the jewellery in place. As this clasp is made of Plated metal, where a fine layer of gold has been bonded onto the brass base metal, over time and with excess use this layer may eventually wear away.
