Instructions

Step 1

Gather your Supplies

Tip your beads into magic sorting trays or small dishes. This way they are easy to access without them rolling away. Also make sure your jewellery tools are easily accessible.

Step 2

Prepare your thread

Before starting we must prepare our thread. Make sure you cut a long piece, giving yourself enough room for the whole necklace. It’s always better to have too much rather than too little.

Next, we want to take one jump ring and one crimp bead and thread them on. Now take the end of your thread and loop it back on itself through only the crimp bead. Using your crimp pliers, secure the crimp bead then cut off the excess thread.

You’ve now created your loop for securing the necklace when wearing.

Step 3

Place your beads

Now you can begin adding your beads. Place a crystal bicone, a crystal ab bicone, and then another crystal bicone onto your thread, and then secure them into place with a crimp bead.

Repeat this step three times, leaving a roughly 3.5cm gap between each set of beads.

Step 4

Creating a pendant

It’s now time to create the Y part of the necklace.

Once again leave a 3.5cm gap between your last set of beads and secure a crimp bead onto your thread. Now thread two sets of the bicone beads in the same order for the precious sets.

Once placed, you will need to skip the first bead, then loop your thread back through the two beads after the one you skipped, then thread another set of beads onto your thread in the usual pattern.

Once you’ve done this, secure a crimp bead onto the thread. Now continue as before and place four more sets of beads onto your thread.

Don’t secure your final crimp bead just yet.

Step 5

Finishing touches

For our final step, we must repeat Step 2, however this time we’ll need to thread on a Trigger Clasp instead of a jump ring.

Congratulations you have completed the project!

You’ve now handmade your very own necklace. Go out and rock your new creation in style.
