Instructions

Step 1

Gather your Supplies

For this DIY you will need easy access to all of your beads, therefore it’s easiest to put each set into magic sorting trays.

Before we start adding any beads, measure out how long your bracelet needs to be then times that by at least three. It’s always better to have too much thread rather than too little.

Thread it through your needle and you are ready to begin.

Step 2

Starting your bracelet

To make explaining as simple as possible, we are going to assign each bead a number. Seed Beads are 1, Bicone Beads are 2 for your first colour, then 3 for your second colour.

Firstly, pick up four bicone beads in a 2,3,2,3 order and place them in that order onto your needle.

Thread them onto your string, then thread the needle back through all four of your bicone beads. This should pull the beads into a loop which will allow you to tie each end of your thread together.

You should now have a circle made up of four bicone beads.

Step 3

Create your first loop

From where you tied your thread together to create the loop, take your needle and thread it through the first bicone on the right, this should be bicone 3.

Once through pick up a singular seed bead. Thread your needle through the next bicone bead which should be 2.

Take another 1 to thread onto your needle and then thread your needle through bicone 3.

Repeat one more time. You should end up with your needle through 2.

Once again pick up a 1, then thread your needle anticlockwise through beads 3 and 1 next to it. Now thread your needle anticlockwise again but this time through 2 and 1.

Step 4

Creating a seed bead loop

We are now going to create a seed bead loop for our clasp. Pick up four 1 beads, and double back through the 1 bead already in your bicone loop. This should create a small circle of 1 beads.

Take your needle and thread it clockwise through all of your 1 beads until you are back to the 1 bead in the bicone loop.

Now carry on threading your needle anticlockwise through your bicone loop. The pattern you will pass through is 2,1,3,1. You will end up directly opposite the loop of 1 beads you just created.

Step 5

Creating your second bicone loop

From here we are going to repeat how we made our first bicone loop. Take your four bicone beads in a 2,3,2,3 pattern and thread them onto your needle.

Double your needle back through the 1 bead you threaded through last. This will create your initial bicone loop.

From here and following the direction of your thread (you may need to flip your work) pass your needle through bicone 3.

Once through we are going to pick up another 1 bead and then pass our thread through bicone 2. Repeat this step until you are back where you started. With your needle having just passed through bicone 3.

Skip bead 1 and thread straight through 2,1,3,1.

Now repeat this step as many times that are needed for the length of your bracelet.

Step 6

Creating your final loop

Once your bracelet is the desired length, we will once again pick up four 1 beads and thread them through the 1 bead already in your bicone loop.

Thread your needle anticlockwise through each 1 bead you added until you are back through your initial 1 bead.

Thread your needle anticlockwise through the next bicone bead then tie a knot and cut your thread.

Step 6

Finishing touches

Attach your trigger clasp to the first seed bead loop we made, and a jump hoop to the other.

Congratulations you have completed the project!

You’ve now handmade your very own bracelet. Go out and rock your new creation in style.
